Harry Wayne Jordan, 70, a resident of Arnold for more than 20 years, died of heart failure May 29 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Baltimore after a brief illness.
Born and reared in Johnstown, Pa., Mr. Jordan served in the Army during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1964. He served two tours during his six-year enlistment.
Mr. Jordan began his career in electronics at IBM and later worked at the Social Security Administration and for Bendix Corp. He retired in the late 1980s after working on temporary assignments overseas.
His interests included reading, crossword puzzles and playing solitaire.
Surviving are one sister, Garnett Goughenour of Arnold; and one brother, Daniel Jordan of Arnold. He was the brother of William Robert Jordan, who died in 2005, and Charles Thomas Jordan, who died in 1978.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway in Severna Park, where funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow. Burial will follow in Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville.
