Grete G. Bailey, 88, a resident of Severna Park, MD, died on September 27, 2009, at Crofton Convalescent Center, due to natural causes.
She was born on June 01, 1921 in Delmenhorst, Germany, where she was raised. Her past residences include Hyattsville, MD and Shady Side, MD.
Mrs. Bailey was a homemaker, enjoyed baking and cooking, and was a wonderful seamstress. She was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Riverdale, MD.
She was preceded in death by her late husband, Edward S. Bailey, who died in 1992 and her late brother, Fredo Egbers.
Survivors include a son, Karl Robert Bailey of Severna Park, MD; a daughter, Martha A. Bailey of Severna Park, MD; and two grandchildren, Linda M. Eversfield of West River, MD and Thomas J. Eversfield, Jr. of Dunkirk, MD.
Family and friends may visit on Wednesday, September 30, 2009 from 5-8 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Gov. Ritchie Hwy in Severna Park, MD. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 01, 2009 at 11 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Washington National Cemetery in Suitland, MD.
