Gordon Allen (Mike) Mallonee, 79, a resident of Annapolis, MD died on April 5, 2010 at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis.
He was born on December 19, 1930 in Baltimore, where he was raised, and graduated from Baltimore Polytechnic Institute. He previously lived in Catonsville before residing in Annapolis, where he has lived since 1957.
Mr. Mallonee entered the Air Force in 1951, and served in the Korean and Vietnam Wars, retiring in 1972. He was a member of the American Legion, 40 & 8 Club, Bay Country Region Vintage Car Club America, Assistant Scout Master Troop 707, and the American Originals Fife and Drum Corps. He was a foster parent and he enjoyed working around the house.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Barbara J. Mallonee of Annapolis; four sons, Mike, Scott, Marc, and David Mallonee, all of Annapolis; three daughters, Denise Mease of Gambrills, Shelly Pinder and Destiny Mallonee, both of Annapolis; five grandchildren, Keven, Joey, Chris, Melanie, and Ashley; and one sister, Eunice Lomax of Glen Burnie.
Family and friends may visit on Thursday, April 8, 2010 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Gov. Ritchie Hwy in Severna Park. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, April 9, 2010 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in MD Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville, MD.
