Gordon Huften

Gordon S. Huften, 39, of Arnold, died of a brain tumor Nov. 14 at the Severna Park Center, Genesis ElderCare Network, after a brief illness.

Mr. Huften was born in Annapolis on July 17, 1966, and graduated in 1985 from Severna Park High School. He worked as a baker for Einstein Bagel in Severna Park.

He was an avid bowler who also loved children and liked to fish, crab and help others.

The son of the late Sally Cesarini-Huften, he is survived by his father, Charles Huften of Arnold; one sister, Dawn Valaike of Pasadena; and three brothers, Darryl W. Huften Sr. of Lynchburg, Va., Charles A. Huften Sr. of Bowie and Jeffery Huften of Glen Burnie.

Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and 3 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, where services will be at 4 p.m. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1041 Route 3 North, Gambrills, MD 21054, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
