Gloria Rose Rogers (nee Hawkins), 87, a 15-year resident of Arnold and formerly of Pasadena and Severna Park, died Aug. 7, 2009 at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis.

Gloria was born in Baltimore and raised in Anne Arundel County; she was the second of eleven children.

She was a loving and devoted mother of five sons. In addition to being a homemaker, she worked in food services throughout Anne Arundel County. She volunteered her time and energy keeping the Baltimore-Annapolis trail well maintained. She was also a volunteer with the Meals on Wheels Program. Her hobbies included photography, horticulture and raising her pet cats.

She was preceded in death by her son, Randolph G. Stafford.

Survivors include her four sons, Lewis Reid Stafford of W.Va., Elmer O. Stafford Jr. of Mount Dora, Fla., Theodore G. Stafford of Lancaster, Pa., and Steven J. Turner of Annapolis.

Relatives and friends may visit from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 10 at Barranco & Sons P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, where funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Interment in Glen Haven Memorial Park.
