Gloria Medina, 79, a 10-year resident of Severna Park, died of heart failure Dec. 2 at the Severna Park Center, Genesis ElderCare Network.
Mrs. Medina was born Feb. 6, 1926, in Dallas, Texas, and previously lived in Chicago and Thousand Oaks, Calif. She was a teacher's aide for 20 years in Chicago.
She was active in the Arnold Senior Center and was known for her kindness and generosity to others.
The widow of Armando Medina and the mother of the late Armando Medina Jr., she is survived by one son, Ruben Medina of Millersville, three daughters, Theresa Medina of Seattle, Wash., Mary Thompson of Chicago and Yolanda Medina of Minneapolis, Minn.; and six grandchildren.
Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, where services will be at 7 p.m. Burial will be in Mount Olive Cemetery in Chicago at a date to be announced.
