Gloria A. Gomez, 80, a resident of Annapolis, died on August 21, 2012 at Tate Chesapeake Hospice House in Linthicum, MD.
She was a dedicated U.S. Air Force wife of 61 years and loving mother. Born in Birdsboro, PA in 1931 and had resided with her husband, Retired Colonel Raymond V. Gomez in Delaware, Illinois, Maine, Texas, New Mexico, Mississippi, Kansas, Ohio, Taiwan, and Maryland.
She is survived by her husband and two sons, Craig M. Gomez of Cape St. Claire and Keith J. Gomez of Alexandria, VA and her two college age granddaughters, Marisa and Carina Gomez; a sister Evelyn Trate of Newark, Delaware and her brother, Donald Spatz of Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Family and friends may visit on Sunday, August 26, 2012 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, MD 21146. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, August 27, 2012 at 10:00 am at St. Andrew by the Bay Catholic Church, 701 College Pkwy, Annapolis, MD 21409. Interment will be in MD Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville, MD.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Chesapeake, 445 Defense Highway, Annapolis, MD 21401.
