Glenville Richards
Glenville R. Richards Sr., 70, a resident of Severna Park for 30 years, died of natural causes Nov. 13 at North Arundel Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Mr. Richards was born June 1, 1934, and reared in Cornwallis, W.Va.
He worked as a truck driver for 40 years for GPX and various other trucking companies before retiring. Subsequently, he worked 11 years as a bartender for the Severna Park Elks Lodge, where he was a member.
Among his interests were gambling, playing cards and hunting.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Richards; three sons, Dennis W. Richards of Baltimore and Ray A. Richards and Glenville R. Richards Jr., both of Severna Park; two daughters, Mirian Hairsine of Glen Burnie and Tina Bryant of Brooklyn Park; three brothers, Harry Richards of Glen Burnie, Johnny Richards of Cairo, W.Va., and Bud Richards of Parkersburg, W.Va.; four sisters, Annabelle Flanagan of Parkersburg, Leiora Reitterer of Georgia, Betty Bee of West Union, W.Va., and Erma Spears of Harrisville, W.Va.; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow and Wednesday at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway in Severna Park, where funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday. Burial is private.
