Glenn Allison Phipps Jr., 63, died at his home on Windsor Rd, in Arnold Maryland on April 8 th after a long battle with kidney disease and diabetes.

Glenn was born on December 29 th , 1955 in College Park, Maryland to Mary Ellen McFarland and Glenn Allison Phipps Sr. He lived in College Park with his parents and siblings until they bought their house on Forest Lane, in Arnold Maryland. He attended Severna Park High School, class of '74. His hobbies included, but not limited to bowling and fishing. His true passion was music. Glenn was an accomplished bass guitarist as well as a singer. Shortly after high school he joined the band MoonCasa and then went on to perform with Tension and Lektric Kats. He formed many bonds with his band mates that continued until his passing. He married his wife Sharlen on July 24 th , 1976 at New Hope Chapel, formerly known as Belvedere Baptist Church. He worked for General Motors for the better part of 30 years, passing down this knowledge to his children. He always brought out the best in people and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sharlen Phipps, 3 daughters, Shelena Paice, Allison Phipps, Samantha Phipps, his son, Glenn Phipps III, 3 grandchildren, Richard Paice, Taylor Paice, and Cora Nihoff, his brother Steven Gilpin, and sister Jeanie Gaines. A Celebration of Life will be held later in the month.
