Glen J. Sippl, 75, of Arnold, Maryland, passed away February 1, 2011 after a year long-illness.

He was born on August 11, 1935 in Iron Mountain, Michigan, son of the late Joseph and Dolores (Shallow) Sippl. He married Margaret Mary (Leitschuh) Sippl in 1959. Glen served in the United States Army from 1958 to 1962. He then worked for Mack Truck, and from there was employed as a Fleet Manager with United Parcel Service, subsequently retiring from Coca-Cola in 1990.

After his retirement, Glen and Marge traveled the country visiting all 50 states, portions of Canada, including a trip across the Arctic Circle. He enjoyed woodworking and made several pieces of furniture and some toys, playing on his computer, performing home improvements for his church, friends and family. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-granddaughter.

Glen was the oldest of 10 siblings, and was preceded in death by his sister, Lois Sickinger. Glen is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Margaret Mary (Leitschuh) Sippl, his children, Mary Jo (Marty Weiss) Sippl, Judy (Robert) Goda, Jim (Vaunda) Sippl, and five grandchildren; Jerry (Kami) Todd, Joe Goda, Jamie Sippl, Dan Goda, and CJ Sippl, and one great-granddaughter, Kayli 'Kay' Todd.

Friends may visit on Sunday February 6, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 at the Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home. A mass will be held on Monday, February 7, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Andrew by the Bay Catholic Church on College Parkway. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Andrew by the Bay Catholic Church, 701 College Parkway, Annapolis, Maryland, 21409.
