Giuseppe "Mr. Joe" Priola, a longtime resident of Severna Park, MD died April 30,2015 of natural complications at the age of 81.  He was born on March 7, 1934 in Palermo Sicily.  Joe married the love of his life Maria "Mama" Priola in 1957.  Together they moved to the United States to begin their American dream.  One of many of Joe's pride and joys was his very successful pizza restaurant Italian Delight in Harundale Mall.  He had a strong accent that was entertaining and at the same time comforting.    He was known for captivating his customers with his unique pizza making skills.  Joe's passion will live on through his son's pizza restaurant, Charlie's Bar at Mangia in downtown Annapolis.

Joe had a smile that was contagious, he had a heart bigger than life and he was always ready to provide for his family.   Joe loved fine cars, Mama's cooking, Italian movies and most of all his wonderfully large family!! Joe is survived by his wife Maria Priola of 60 years; four children: Peter Priola, Sara Del Sesto, Frank Priola and Charlie Priola; 11 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.

Family and friends are welcomed for a memorial visitation on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 from 4:00pm-7:00pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home.

A memorial mass will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at 10:30am at St. John Neumann, 620 N Bestgate Road, Annapolis, MD.


Inurnment will take place at Glen Haven Memorial Park in Glen Burnie following the memorial mass.
