Gina Marie Brightwell, born August 10, 1951, peacefully passed February 5, 2018. Daughter of Amiel and Phyllis Wajbel of Cape St. Claire, she is survived by husband, Rick; sons Jason, Joshua and his wife, Lindsey and daughter Ronan; sister, Sue Staton and her husband Jeff, their children, Erin Stevens and husband Peter; Sean, Lauren, and Logan; brother, Steven Wajbel, wife Debbie, and daughter Jessica Boleschak; best friend and sister-at-heart, Linda Schiller and her partner Ron Kerber.

A lover of nature, warmer weather often found her outside tending to her many gardens, fish ponds, and bird feeders, always in the company of her loyal dog, Jack.  She cherished her years as a pre-K teacher at the Calvary United Methodist Church in Annapolis, where she imparted her natural affinity for creativity into the hearts of her students.  She also loved to travel and was always ready for her next world-wide adventure. Her selfless and compassionate nature made her a cherished inspiration to all her family and friends.
