Gertrude Colwell Weaver, 87, a resident of Severna Park, passed away on August 28, 2017 at her home.

Trudy was born in Widnoon, PA on September 19, 1929, the only daughter of David and Mary Colwell. She graduated from Kittanning High School in 1947. Over her many years of employment she worked as a bookkeeper for Clement Hardware in Severna Park, Bindagraphics in Baltimore, and Providence Center in Arnold.

She was an active member of Woods Presbyterian Church where she served as a deacon and was treasurer of PWOW (Presbyterian Women of Woods) for 10 years. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, baking, gardening and reading.

Mrs. Weaver was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years, Quintin Weaver; her parents; and her four brothers, Eugene, Joseph, James and Rodney Colwell.

She is survived by five children: Kevin (Mary) Weaver of Elverson, PA, Lindsey Weaver of Cape Coral, FL, Karen (Ken) Kissam of Severna Park, MD, Brian (Denice) Weaver of Stevensville, MD, and Meade (Connie) Weaver of Pasadena, MD. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, David Weaver, Shannon Braccili, Rebecca Weaver, Bradley Weaver, Kathryn Kissam, Jacob Weaver, Christina Weaver, and Victoria Weaver and 1 great grandchild, Sophia Braccili.

Family and friends may visit on Friday, September 1, 2017 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, September 2, 2017 at 10:30 AM at Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church, 611 Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard, Severna Park, MD 21146. Interment will be private.
