Gerard Moran Kelaher "Jerry," 74, passed away peacefully at his home in Easton, MD on Friday, November 6, 2020.
He was born April 24, 1946, to Mary and James Kelaher and raised with his 8 siblings in Bellerose, Queens, NY. He is survived by his three children, Kristen Komlosy, Mark Kelaher and Amy Brown and eight grandchildren, Ethan Komlosy, Liam Komlosy, Celia Kelaher, Norah Kelaher, Noah Kelaher, Sutton Brown, Bennett Brown and Sawyer Brown. Predeceased by his loving wife of 49 years, Susan Mary Kelaher, parents Mary and James Kelaher, brother Paul Kelaher and sister Veronica Polchow.
United States Navy veteran 1965-1969, AE2 - Jerry was proud to serve his country, had fond memories and enjoyed sharing stories of his time in the service, specifically aboard the USS Forrestal.
Long-time resident of Setauket, NY and a successful business owner for over 35 years in Hicksville, NY. Jerry retired to Lake Monticello, VA in 2006. He was an active community member and spent a lot of his time working and playing at the golf course.
He moved to Easton, MD in 2017 to be closer to his children and grandchildren. There again, he found his next golf course, Hog Neck, where he worked and played. He was also an active member of the local VFW.
Jerry's greatest joy was his family. He was very proud of his children and especially his grandchildren, and had great love for his siblings. He cherished spending time with each of them, as well as his good friends.
Jerry, (aka "Pops") will be missed by many and may he rest in peace for eternity.
Friends may visit on Sunday November 15, 2020 from 4:00pm-7:00pm at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, P.A. 495 Ritchie Hwy. Severna Park, MD 21146. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Monday November 16, 2020 at 10:00am at the St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church 689 Ritchie Hwy. Severna Park, MD 21146. Interment at MD Veterans Cemetery Crownsville, MD.

A limit of 40 people at for a seated service inside the Funeral Home will be closely monitored.
