Gerald "Jerry" Fondessy, of Arnold, passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2021.

He was born to Mary (nee Kekelic) and Kenneth Fondessy on July 22, 1941 in Clay Center, Ohio, where he was also raised.

Jerry graduated from the University of Toledo and received his master's in Administration from the University of Maryland College Park.

He was an elementary school principal in Prince George's County for over 30 years. Jerry loved cooking, decoy carving, traveling throughout the United States and enjoying time with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Kenneth Fondessy and his brother, Merle Fondessy.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Kathy Fondessy, of Arnold; sister-in-law Pat Fondessy, of Clay Center, Ohio; sister-in-law, Peggy Ericksen (Bruce), of Fairfax, VA; and nieces and nephews.

A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, June 4, 2021 from 1-4pm at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, P.A. 495 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park, MD 21146.
