George Thomas Shields III, 54, a resident of Glen Burnie died on August 20, 2015 at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.
He was born on April 26, 1961 in Baltimore and graduated from Severna Park High School. He previously lived in residences in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia.
George was an Aerial Lineman and became disabled, from a work related injury, as of 2001.
He loved eating crabs, going fishing and crabbing, fireworks, drawing, being outdoors, history, working on cars, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
George enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He was married to his high school sweetheart for 23 years. They still remained close friends to raise their children and was very involved with his children and grandchildren's lives.
He is survived by his former wife, Angela Marie Shields, two daughters, Cristina Beverly Shields and Nicole Marie Shields and one son, George Thomas Shields, IV, all of Glen Burnie; two grandchildren, Nataliya Theresa Tierney and Zackarie Thomas George Shields; and one sister, Jorgette Theresa Arthur of Pasadena.
A Memorial Visitation will be on Monday, August 24th from 1-3 pm and 5-7 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy in Severna Park, with a Memorial Service to begin at 6:30 pm. Interment will be private.
