George M. Kellerman, 87, of Bethany Beach, DE, and formerly of Lanham, MD passed away peacefully on Monday, November 10, 2014 at the Genesis Severna Park Center in Severna Park, MD.
He was born on March 12, 1927, in College Park, MD, son of the late George Kellerman and Helen Wallace. After graduating from high school, George enlisted in the Marines and was stationed in China during World War II. After his honorable discharge, George worked as a housing contractor, building homes in the Washington Metropolitan Area.
George was preceded in death by his wife, Frances, and his sisters Eileen Allen and Mary Jane Kellerman. He is survived by his sister, Joan Hansen of Laurel, MD, sisters-in-law Thomasina Setzer of Silver Spring, MD and Rose Decker of Dushore, PA, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at St. John the Evangelist Church, 689 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park, MD 21146. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in George's name to Cheer Center, 30637 Cedar Neck Road, Ocean View, DE 19970.
