George T. Heck, 88, a resident of Arnold, died on August 10, 2013 at Somerford Place in Annapolis.
He was born on September 2, 1924 in Baltimore, where he was raised, and previously lived in Locust Point, MD and went to school at Our Lady of Good Counsel in Baltimore. George served in the U.S. Navy during World War II from 1943-1946 and was employed with the U.S. Coast Guard Yard and David Taylor Research Center.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Elks.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Alice L. Heck of Arnold; two daughters, Alice A. Pollock and Clare M. Ramey, both of Arnold; one brother, John A. Heck of Woodstock, MD; four grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

Family and friends may visit on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, MD 21146. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, August 15, 2013 at 10:15 am at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 689 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, MD 21146, followed by Interment in MD Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville, MD.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Chesapeake, 90 Ritchie Hwy, Pasadena, MD 21122.
