George Paul Brown (75) entered into his rest peacefully the night of October 4th, 2023. He was surrounded by his loving family, after a heroic battle with cancer.

He is survived by his wife Diana, daughter Katherine Russell, grand-daughters Kaylee Russell-Hess and Hope Weber-Russell, as well as great-grandchildren Landon Russell and Skylar Hess. Other surviving family members include his brother Carl Brown, 3 brothers-in-law and 3 sisters-in-law. George treasured his special relationships with his 7 nephews and 6 nieces.

He served in the U.S. Army honorably during the Vietnam war until his retirement. George continued his education attending Chaminade University of Honolulu and University of Maryland. He worked as Assistant Director of New Construction with Rite Aid Corp as well as (AACPS) Anne Arundel County Public Schools.

George's interests included Baseball, vintage cars and sailing that led to cruising. He coached AA County Girls Softball. As a member of Lost in the 50's Car Club he traveled to car shows near and far. George sailed the Chesapeake on his sloop "Breezin" and later graduated to cruising.

Family and friends may visit on Monday October 16, 2023 from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 6:00pm-8:00pm at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, P.A. 495 Ritchie Hwy Severna Park, MD 21146. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Tuesday October 17, 2023 at 11:00am at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church 689 Ritchie Hwy Severna Park, MD 21146.
