Gayle Dixon Morris Moriarty, age 74, passed away on November 20, 2016. She was born to the late Joseph Burgess Morris and Virgie Montsinger Morris on June 15, 1942. Gayle was raised in Thomasville, North Carolina and graduated from Ledford High School. She enjoyed being a member of Saint Margarets Episcopal Church in Annapolis Maryland where she was head of flower gild for many years.  She also was an avid bridge player and enjoyed several bridge social groups.

Family and friends were Gayle's love and passion. Gayle is survived by her husband, Peter Joseph Moriarty III of 51 years.  She is also survived by her children and their spouses: son, James "Jim" Philip and wife Caroline Nicholls Cutler, son Peter Joseph IV and wife Jennifer Manfre Moriarty and daughter Karen Elizabeth Moriarty and husband Scott Miller.  She is survived by 12 grandchildren, David, Anna, James, Ryan, Kendall, Christian, Cole, Zebulon "Zeb", Luke, Nathan, Mario, Matthew and 2 great grandchildren, Mason and Akira.

Her brother Burgess Joseph and sister-in-law Georgia Morris and nephew Joseph Morris preceded her death.  She is also survived by a niece, Mira Grubb and nephew Jeff Morris.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday November 23, 2016 at 11:00am in the St. Margaret's Episcopal Church 1601 Pleasant Plains Rd Annapolis, MD 21409.
