On July 2, 2022, Gail C. Fields lost her battle with recurrent breast cancer after a brief illness. She was born to a military family in Osaka, Japan on January 1, 1950. She graduated from Severna Park High School, and then from the Maryland Institute College of Art. Gail's career in Graphic Design was mostly spent with the Maryland Department of Natural Resources in Annapolis and with the Department of Planning in Baltimore. After many years in service with the State of Maryland, Gail retired and enjoyed her time at home crafting, making jewelry and spending time with her family.

Gail is survived by her beloved husband of 40 years, Arden A. Fields, III; her daughter Emily Fields of Glen Burnie; grandson Lucas Schweitzer of Glen Burnie; as well as her sister Lynn Crews Reynolds (Joe) of Arnold. She was predeceased by her son, David E. Fields.

Family and friends may visit on Friday, July 8, 2022 from 10am to 11am at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, P.A., 495 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, MD, 21146. A memorial service will follow at 11am at the funeral home. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the ASPCA at https://secure.aspca.org/
