Frank Bradlyn "Brad" McClanahan III, 57, died September 7, at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, due to heart failure.
Born on December 26, 1950 in Washington, DC, he was raised in Cape St. Claire.
He lived in the Cape St. Claire for 50 years.
Mr. McClanahan was owner-operator of an upholstery business, named "Gotcha' Covered".
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 175 and proud Republican. He loved politics, his family and country.
He enjoyed golfing.
Survivors include his wife, Ellen J. McClanahan (nee Puhlfuerst), whom he married on September 17, 1986; three daughters, Cindy Adele McClanahan of Berkley, WV, Shannon Grace McClanahan of Cape St. Claire, Meghan Christine McClanahan of Cape St. Claire; four sisters, Sharon McClanahan of York, PA, Kathy Koski of Leesburg, VA, Kristi Jenkins of Delmar, MD and Debbie McBane of Brimley, MI; brother, Daniel McClanahan of Seaford, DE; and two grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, September 10 at 3:00 pm at New Covenant Church, 365 Jones Station Road in Arnold, MD, with a reception to follow.
Interment will be private.
