Frank Lordi, 65, of Glen Burnie, MD (formerly of Miami, FL) passed away on Friday, July 31, 2015. He was born on November 29, 1949, in Newark, NJ. He was the son of the late
Francis (Frank) Anthony and Vera Lordi.
Most recently Frank was employed by the R.E. Michel Company in Glen Burnie, MD. Frank started with the company in 1997 as a member of the company's Warranty Department. Based on his significant business experience Frank was selected to manage the company's parts distribution center in 2001, a position he held until his retirement in 2014. Frank was as dependable as the sun and could be counted on by any member of the R.E. Michel team to get any job done and done right. Frank was a coach and mentor to his team and when adversity struck, his teammates could always count on a smile and to hear the words "well, in a perfect world."
Frank was a diehard fan of the Miami Dolphins, Atlanta Braves, Tour De France and NASCAR. He was known as the family guru of Trivial Pursuit and loved vacationing to the beach and Disney World. He was devoted to his canines, Yogi and Bella.
He was the beloved husband of Barbara Lordi for 32 years. In addition to his wife, Frank is survived by his children: Anthony Lordi (Roberta) of Miami, FL, Patricia Lordi of Miami, FL, Christine Mendez (Ricardo) of Miami, FL and Melanie Christensen of Wilmington, DE. He was a loving brother to Christopher Lordi of West Palm Beach, FL, Larry Lordi of Ft Lauderdale, FL and Linda Lordi Schmitzberger of Miami, FL. He was a cherished grandfather to seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren, and an uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are welcomed for a memorial visitation on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 from 6:00pm - 7:00pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at 7:00pm at the funeral home.
