Frank Allen Elliott, 60, life-long Marylander and recent resident of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, passed away on March 30, 2011 at Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach, Florida, after battling Multiple System Atrophy for several years.
Frank was born on February 2, 1951, at Fort Meade, Maryland. He graduated from Glen Burnie High School in 1969, where he was a varsity athlete. He went on to receive a bachelor's degree in technical management from the University of Maryland.
He proudly worked for the Baltimore Gas and Electric Company for 38 years.
Frank's hobbies included boating, bicycling, gardening, photography, model trains, and collecting stamps, coins, and Civil War memorabilia. He loved listening to music, playing guitar, eating chocolate chip cookies and being near the water.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Van Hoose Elliott, his father, Edward Elliott, and his sister, Jean Lyle.
Frank is survived by two daughters, Katie Elliott Kreiner of Laurel, MD and Karla Elliott Dorsey of Westminster, MD; one brother, Edward Jean Elliott; and countless kind and loving friends made throughout the course of his rich and full life.
A Memorial visitation will be held at Barranco and Sons, P.A. Severna Park funeral home, 495 Ritchie Highway Severna Park, MD 21146 on Saturday April 16th, 2011 from 1-3 pm, with a Memorial service to follow. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia County (www.hovf.org).
