Francis X Steffens

It is with great sadness the family of Francis X. Steffens "Frank", 86, announces his passing Sunday, May 20, 2018 at his home in Annapolis, MD. after a courageous battle with cancer.  Frank is lovingly remembered by his brother Thomas W. Steffens (Eleanor), children -  Anne Squicciarini (Peter), Susan Dunigan (Joe), Francis X. Jr. "Skip" (Jan) and MaryJane Nock (Nick).  He will also be fondly remembered by his 5 grandchildren Lisa (Dan), Peter (Julianna), MaryKate (Ryan), Ian, and Bailey, his six great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.  Frank was predeceased by his daughter Katherine "Katie" Steffens and his wife Janet Randolph Steffens.

Frank led a life most would envy. His tremendous love of family and friends filled any room (or marina) he entered.  A native of Long Island, New York, and former resident of Severna Park, MD, with retirement years spent between Annapolis, MD and Punta Gorda, FL. He was a great influence in every community in which he lived.  His infectious laugh and positive attitude were unavoidable in his presence. Sailing was a passion for most of his life.    He served his country during Korean War. He was also an influential leader in his long career at Snap-On Tools Corporation.   Frank never did anything half -heartedly. He was a treasured resource to all who knew him.     He served on numerous boards and committees, and was a dedicated volunteer in the many communities he lived in. He was most certainly the "go-to" guy for any kind of advice and most repairs needed.  Frank will be forever remembered by numerous extended family and dear friends.
