Francis M. Janczak Jr. passed away at home with his family by his side on August 15, 2026.
Francis was born to Francis M. Janczak, Sr. and Josephine Janczak on August 12,1946 in Baltimore Maryland. He grew up in Baltimore, but later in life he made his home in Arnold. In 1966 Francis began to serve his country in the Army National Guard, and he continued to do so until his honorable discharge in 1972. Once he returned to the workforce he became an Accounting Clerk for the Circuit Court of Baltimore.
He was also a lifelong Catholic, and a member of the Knights of Columbus, as well as the (dreaded) White Berets. He was also a member of St. Andrew by the Bay CatholicChurch. Francis enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading, and cigars. But the true joy of his life was his family, namely his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, the love of his life, Hilda M. Janczak of Arnold,MD; his daughter Mary Fortin and her husband William of Arnold, MD; his son FrancisM. Janczak III and his wife Mary Beth of Forest Hill, MD and his six grandchildren, three great and 3 grand-dogs.

Family and friends may visit from 2-4 and 6-8pm on Thursday August 20th at Barranco Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy Severna Park, MD 21146. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held the following day, Friday August 21st at 11am at St. Andrew by the Bay Catholic Church, 701 College Pkwy, Annapolis, MD 21409, with burial to follow.
