Frances C. Whittington, 82, a longtime resident of Arnold, died on Oct. 2, from complications of Alzheimers.
She was born May 8, 1928.She retired from Annapolis Bank & Trust, was a member of St. Margaret's Episcopal Church & Ladies Guild, Severna Park Ladies of the Elks, The Quilter's Guild and a volunteer at AAMC.
She is preceded in death by her husband Clarence Ellsworth Whittington.
She is survived by her children, Curtis Whittington and Mary Beth of Arnold, JoAnne Lewis and Thom of Florida, Gary Whittington and Lisa of North Carolina, and Robert Whittington, endearing niece Pat Smith and daughter in law Sally Whittington. One sister, Alice Burkhardt, and two brothers, Branton and Walter King. Seven grandchildren, one great granddaughter, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Frances had a passion for flowers and enjoyed quilting, sewing, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren.
The services will be held 1 pm , Saturday, October 9, 2010 at St. Margarets Episcopal Church, 1601 Pleasant Plains Rd., Annapolis, MD 21409. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimers Association, 1850 York Road, Suite D, Timonium, MD 21093.
