Frances Joan Wagner, 95, passed away peacefully at home on August 17, 2016. Born June 18, 1921 in Baltimore, Maryland to Jacob and Josephine Kedzierski, she resided throughout her youth in Canton at South Clinton Street. She was a graduate of Eastern High School and attended the Maryland Institute of Art, where she developed her talent for interior design and art. She also attended Trinity College.

Mrs. Wagner was married on the 23rd of June 1940 at the Church of Saint Casimir in South Baltimore. She along with her husband Bill were charter members of the Chartwell Golf and Country Club. Frances enjoyed square dancing and helped organize the "Thunderbird Twirlers", a square dance club that met in the Harundale Mall community activity center. After retirement, she enjoyed traveling with her best friend Nada, and members of the 55 club, to various mystery destinations and on cruises.
Frances was a lifelong resident of Maryland employed by the Naval Department and was a successful realtor with Grempler Real Estate, from where she retired in 1990.

Mrs. Wagner was an ambitious volunteer, instructing the first class of St. John's Catholic School's kindergarten graduates, which conducted class adjacent to the first graders in the church hall, later occupied by the Severna Park YMCA and pool. Frances was a substitute teacher at the Belvedere Elementary School, also volunteering there as a Girl Scout troop leader and activity director. She was active in the local PTA, and served as the "Fine Arts Chairman of the Anne Arundel County Fair" at the old Sandy Point fairgrounds. Frances enjoyed working for the benefit of Hospice of the Chesapeake at the Chesapeake Treasures Shop, in Severna Park, alongside all her volunteer friends for many years.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, siblings Clare, Leonard, Marion, Betty and a nephew Dennis.

She is survived by a daughter Cynthia Buchanan of Richmond, Virginia, son Joe with whom she lived in Millersville, two grandchildren Angelic Carroll her husband Mark of Annapolis, Daniel Ungar and his wife Cherry of Hong Kong, also two great grandchildren Evelyn and Brent Carroll of Annapolis, and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may visit on Friday, September 2, 2016 from 9:00 am- 10:00 am at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy Severna Park, MD 21146 with a funeral service to follow at 10 am. Interment in the Maryland Veterans Cemetery Crownsville, MD.
