Frances Virginia Smith (nee Sullivan), 83, died on Friday, September 19, 2008, of heart failure, at her home in Arnold, MD. She was born in Fredericksburg, VA and raised in Annapolis. Mrs. Smith lived on the Eastern Shore of Maryland before moving to Arnold in 1970.

She was a Claims Administrator for Nationwide Insurance Company and a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Ladies of the Elks, Order of the Eastern Star and The Couples Club of Arnold. She enjoyed bowling and camping.

Mrs. Smith was survived by her sons Donald Smith of Arnold, MD and Evan Smith of Alexandria, VA, 6 grand children, 6 great grand children and a brother Herbert Sullivan of Ridgely, MD. Mrs. Smith was predeceased by her husbands, Captain Lloyd Marshall Smith, AACO Police Retired and George Mullikin.

Friends may visit on Tuesday, September 23, 2008, from 2-4 and 6-8pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church at 11am with interment at Hillcrest Cemetery in Annapolis.
