Frances Coleman Isley, 86, of Severna Park, Maryland passed away on August 21, 2016 at Brightview Senior and Assisted Living, of natural causes.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:30 am on August 30, 2016 at Fort Hill Memorial Park, 5196 Fort Ave, Lynchburg, VA 24502. Rev. Charles Russell of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Washington D.C. will be officiating. A visitation will be held prior to the service at 10:30 am at the Fort Hill Memorial Park Chapel.
Frances was born in Lynchburg, VA on December 1, 1929 and attended E.C. Glass High School. She was married to William Christian Isley on July 24, 1953; they were married 63 years.
Frances worked as a flood insurance claims adjustor for Computer Sciences Corporation for 10 years. She enjoyed gardening, needlework, quilting, painting, crafts, and homemaking. She was also actively involved with church choirs and community service. Frances was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and devout Christian.
Mrs. Isley is survived by her husband, William C. Isley; three daughters, Carol Robinson, Joanne Sprunk, and Diane Beatty; two sons, William Isley, Jr. and John Isley; 11 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents Rev. St. John Coleman and Katie Padgett Coleman.
