Frances Irene Smith born Oct 23, 1919 to Morton and Lida McCulley, passed away May 19, 2019 just a few months shy of 100. She was born in Canada and later moved to Quincy Massachusetts with her parents, brother, and sister. While living in Massachusetts she graduated from high school and attended art school. Irene married William E Smith, Sr. in 1941 and move to Maryland.  She didn't get her driver's license until she was in her 50s but drove around until she was 93. She was sharp, funny and loved telling stories.

She loved to sew and make crafts. She also loved her little shore house in Pasadena until she moved in with her son in Severna Park and eventually to Sunrise. She adored her family. She was loved by many and will be missed terribly.

Frances is survived by one son, William E Smith Jr. of Severna Park, two grandchildren, William E. Smith, III of Pasadena and Terri Gable of Stevensville, and her great grandchildren Mandi, Tina, Kimberly, Layla, and Savanah.

Family and friends may visit Wednesday May 22, 2019 from 3:00pm-5:00pm and 7:00pm-9:00pm in the Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home 495 Ritchie Hwy. Severna Park, MD 21146. Services will be held on Thursday May 23, 2019 at 10:00am in the funeral home chapel. Interment in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
