Frances W. Beard, 83, of Arnold, died Nov. 7 at Future-Care-Chesapeake in Arnold after a brief illness.
A homemaker, Mrs. Beard was born June 19, 1922, and reared in Jacksonville, Fla. She formerly lived in Crofton for 10 years. During World War II she served in the Women's Air Corps.
Surviving are two sons, Hank Beard of Arnold and Ralph Judson Monroe III; one brother, Manning Woodley; two sisters, Jane Cummings and Ruth Byrd, all of Jacksonville; and two grandchildren.
Her husband, Armand H. Beard Jr., died in 1994.
Services and burial are private. Arrangements are by Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home.
