Florence Hieber Roberts, 93, of Severna Park, died of complications of surgery Sept. 20 at Anne Arundel Medical Center.
Born July 27, 1912, in Chicago, Ill. Mrs. Roberts married Richard Eversfield Roberts of Baltimore in 1935. In 1940 she moved to Riggs Avenue in Severna Park where she resided until going to Sunrise Independent Living in 2002.
An avid life master bridge players, she started the Severna Park Bridge Club many years ago and played duplicate bridge five days a week until her death.
A sports fan, she enjoyed watching tennis, basketball and the Baltimore Orioles on television.
Surviving are four nieces and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
A memorial Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. Friday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic, 669 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park. Burial will be private. Arrangements are by Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058.
