Fiorella DiGiacomo, 97, a resident of Severna Park for 35 years, died July 19 at Future Care Chesapeake in Arnold.
Mrs. DiGiacomo was born on July 22, 1906 in Chieti, Italy. She immigrated to the United States in 1937 and lived in Windber, Pa., later moving to Dundalk.
A member of St. Rita's Catholic Church in Dundalk, she later joined St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Severna Park.
Mrs. DiGiacomo enjoyed gardening, bowling, sewing, knitting, playing shuffleboard and bocci ball.
Her husband, Giuseppi DiGiacomo, died in 1962, and a daughter, Anna Eckels, died in 1968.
Surviving are another daughter, Mary J. Smith of Severna Park; two sons, Nicholas DiGiacomo of Ellicott City and Charles DiGiacomo of Laurel; 14 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Friday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial will be in Baltimore National Cemetery, 5501 Frederick Ave., Baltimore.
