Fred Serwatka, 83, a resident of Pasadena, died on July 2, 2012 at his home, after a long illness.
He was born on June 13, 1929 in Syracuse, NY.
Fred served 44 years active service in the USAF and 45 years civilian service with US Navy Station in Annapolis. He was a volunteer for St. Vincent de Paul and a member of St. John Evangelist Roman Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Naomi Serwatka and his son, Stanley Joseph Serwatka, II.
He is survived by his daughter, Julie Wade and his son-in-law, John D. Wade, Jr.; five grandchildren, Dawn Mosely, Jason Serwatka, Sydney Serwatka, Kristen Rutti, Christina Dychkowski; three great grandchildren, Brandon Vogelsang, Lauren Rutti, Michael Rutti, and one great-great grandchild, Brandon Kearins. Also survived by one sister Mary Rosivach of Syracuse, NY.
There will be a graveside service at MD Veterans Cemetery on Monday, July 9, 2012 at 1:00 pm in Crownsville. Arrangements made by Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home.
