Fannie Belle White, age 81, peacefully passed away in her home in Severna Park, MD surrounded by her family on Monday, April 10, 2017.

Fannie was born on March 23, 1936 in Rock Hill, South Carolina to Pearl and John Moore.

In 1954 Fannie married the late Robert White. To pursue better opportunities, Fannie and Robert moved to Washington, D.C. where they started their family. They later moved to Odenton, MD and finally Severna Park, MD. Together they had six children and adopted their grandchild as their 7th daughter. As the mother of seven children, Fannie worked tirelessly to provide the very best of everything for her family. In addition to being a mother and homemaker, she held many positions including secretary, dietary director for the Dept. of Child Care, and even ran her own day care known as "Granny Fannie's Nursery".  After many years of employment at the Community Action Agency in Annapolis, MD, where she assisted countless individuals in the fight against poverty and gained many lifelong friends, Fannie retired in 2003. She was affectionately known as Momma, Granny Fannie, GG, Aunt Fannie, and Ms. Fannie.

Fannie was a God fearing woman and was active in Dupont Park Seventh-Day Adventist Church for 38 years and later in the Glen Burnie Seventh-day Adventist Church as deaconess and head deaconess. She fiercely served the Lord and preached his love to any that would listen. Her love for God was never ending and she taught his word to her children, grandchildren, friends and acquaintances.

Fannie was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years Robert Lee White and her sons David Allen White and Garry Lewis White. She leaves in loving memory her brothers Charles Moore and Billy Moore of North and South Carolina, her children Ruby Adams and her husband Sam Adams (Arnold, MD), Robert White (Glen Burnie, MD), Brenda Redding and her husband Marvin Redding (Annapolis, MD), Wanda Jones and her husband Billy Jones (Virginia), and Ashley White (Los Angeles, CA). Fannie is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, as well as her very close friend Mr. Bernard Smith.

A visitation will be held on Friday, April 14, 2017 from 11am – 12pm at the Living Word Seventh-day Adventist Church, 508 Aquahart Rd, Glen Burnie, MD 21061. A Funeral Service will be held immediately following the visitation at 12pm. Interment will take place at Bestgate Memorial Park, 814 Bestgate Rd, Annapolis, MD 21401.
