F. Thomas Ripley, III died Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at University of Maryland Medical Center at the age of 76 from complications with his recent diagnosis of leukemia.

Thomas was born June 13, 1939 in Franklin, New Hampshire where he lived throughout his childhood. He went on to attend the University of New Hampshire and graduate with a mathematics degree. After two years of teaching, he relocated to Maryland with his wife, Sandra, to work for the Department of Defense. He worked there until his retirement in 1995.

Mr. Ripley is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sandra Ripley of Severna Park. He is also survived by two daughters - Sara Ripley and Jennifer Simmons, and three granddaughters – Elizabeth, Samantha, and Kaitlyn Simmons of Crofton, MD.

A viewing will be held Tuesday, July 28th from 6-8 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home. A graveside memorial will be held at a future date in Charlestown, New Hampshire.
