Evelyn (Lyn) D. Williams, 78, of Arnold, died suddenly but peacefully on February 23, 2012 at Baltimore Washington Hospital.

She was born on March 29, 1933 in Boston, Massachusetts and settled in Maryland in 1962 after years of traveling with her family. She earned her Master's Degree from The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore and dedicated her life to supporting young adults in their educational pursuits at Anne Arundel Community College as an Advisor and College ADA Liaison.

Lyn enjoyed living life to its fullest. She dearly loved her family; expressed great pride over her children and spending quality time relaxing in her Condominium in Ocean City, Maryland. She also loved the Ravens, shopping for a bargain and playing cards with her son.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Evelyn Sousa; her brother Joseph Sousa; the father of her children, Jack Williams Sr.; a daughter, Margaret Williams; and grandson, Kevin Durm (her Buddy).
She is survived by four children; Kathy Kenner (Joe), Eileen Williams (George Durm), Jack Williams Jr. (Diane), and Mary Tillar (Jeff); grandchildren, Brian Durm (Rachel), Amanda Williams, Jennifer Durm, Matthew Williams, John Kenner, Julie Kenner, Maxwell Tillar, Kathryn Kenner, and Colin Tillar; and one great-grandson, Jonathan Durm.

Family and friends may visit on Sunday, February 26th from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, MD 21146. A Funeral Mass is scheduled for 10:30 am, Monday, February 27, 2012 at St. John the Evangelist Church of Severna Park, 689 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park, Maryland 21146. A private interment will be held at Hillcrest Memorial for the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kevin Durm Music Scholarship at Archbishop Spalding High School, 8080 New Cut Road, Severn, Maryland 21144.
