Evelyn McPherson
Evelyn P. McPherson, 89, of Arnold, died of heart failure Nov. 22 at her home after a lengthy illness.
Mrs. McPherson was born July 3, 1916, and reared in Gastonia., N.C. She retired from the Environmental Protection Agency as a physical scientist after 17 years of service.
A resident of Cape St. Claire since 1970, she loved fishing, camping and taking long walks on the beach in the outer banks of South Carolina.
Surviving are her husband of 37 years, Raymond L. McPherson Jr.; two daughters, Brenda Mulholland of Pacolet, S.C., and Janice Doyle of Newberry, S.C.; two stepsons, Raymond L. McPherson III of Pasadena and James McPherson of Annapolis; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Dec. 3 at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway. Burial will be private.
