Evelyn Elaine Lanahan, 90, a resident of Severna Park, passed away April 27, 2014.
She was born on June 2, 1923 in Baltimore. She grew up in Baltimore and was a longtime resident of Pasadena, before moving to Severna Park in 1995.
Evelyn worked during WWII at Glenn L. Martin Aircraft Manufacturer; was a homemaker; and a nursing assistant at North Arundel Hospital. She was a foster parent for many children until they were adopted. She enjoyed taking cruises every year for many years and also enjoyed sewing, cooking, and photography.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Elliott, Sr. and also her husband Leo Jerome Lanahan; her son, John William Elliott, her daughter, Barbara Carol Sander, and her brothers, Earl Miller, Frances Miller, George Miller, James Miller, and William B. Miller Jr.
She is survived by two sons, William E. Elliott, Jr. of Pasadena, Michael J. Lanahan of Glen Burnie and one daughter, Elaine Evelyn Elliott of Severna Park.
Family and friends may visit on Thursday, May 1, 2014 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home on Friday, May 2 nd at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Park in Glen Burnie.
