Evelyn Ellen Johnson, 100 years 3 months, passed away on April 21, 2016, at Genesis HealthCare in Severna Park, due to complications after pneumonia.
She was born on January 21, 1916 in Harvey, Illinois, was raised in Allentown, PA, and graduated from Allentown High School. She previous lived in Allentown until 2000 and Severna Park area from 2000-2016.
Her three children and her home were her greatest joys. She was a very good artist (oil painting) and wonderful knitter and crocheter.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her late husband, Carl H. Johnson; her parents, Nellie and Herbert Miller; and her sister, Gladys I. Lammert.
She is survived by one son, Carl H. Johnson, Jr. of League City, Texas; two daughters, Joan E. Clarke of Severna Park and Donna Terrible of Millersville; six grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.
All services will be private and out of state. There will be a private graveside service in Allentown in May.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice of the Chesapeake, 90 Ritchie Hwy, Pasadena, MD 21122.
