Evelyn B. Brown, 84, of Severna Park died of cancer Jan. 7 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie after a five-week illness.

Mrs. Brown was born Oct. 2, 1923, in Fishersville, Va., where she was reared and graduated from high school.

She was a member of American Legion Post 40 Auxiliary.

A homemaker, she enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband, Vernon J. Brown; one son, James E. Brown Sr. of Woodbine; one daughter, Patricia A. Unroe of Severna Park; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Family and friends may visit from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Glen Haven Memorial Park.
