Eva R. Shavatt (nee Jacobsen), 85, a resident of Chester, MD, died on August 13, 2008, due to kidney failure, at Future Care Chesapeake.
She was born January 6, 1923 in Oslo, Norway and was raised in Chicago, IL.
Mrs. Shavatt lived in Washington D.C. for 15 years, Prince George County for 25 years, Calvert County for 5 years, then resided for the past 13 years in Chester, MD.
She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her late husband, John S. Shavatt.
Survivors include sons, Frank R. Brooks of Conroe, Texas, Wayne L. Brooks of Pasadena, MD, John E. Shavatt of Columbia, MD, and Adam S. Callaway of Chester, MD; daughters, Barbara J. Winters of Chester, MD, Eve N. Shavatt of Eighty Four, PA, Donna L. Shavatt of Crofton, MD; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren..
Interment will be private.
Arrangements have been made by Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home in Severna Park, MD.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to National Kidney Foundation of MD, 1107 Kenilworth Drive, Baltimore, MD 21204.
