Eva Krick Pumphrey, 91, a resident of Severna Park, died on November 18, 2008 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center, due to natural causes.

She was born on October 24, 1917, to the late Peter and Katherine Krick, in Millersville, MD, where she was raised.

Since 1946, Mrs. Pumphrey owned and operated Pumphreys Tavern in Millersville.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Ladies of the Elks.
Mrs. Pumphrey enjoyed taking care of her family, cooking, and traveling.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry S. Pumphrey, whom she married on July 5, 1940.

Survivors include her daughters, Joyce L. Mackley of Severna Park and Sharon M. Pumphrey of Clearwater, FL; one sister, Margaret Sledz of Riviera Beach, MD; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Family and friends may visit on Sunday, November 23 from 2-6 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Gov. Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, MD 21146.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 24 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Park in Glen Burnie, MD.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Chesapeake, 445 Defense Highway, Annapolis, MD 21401.
