Family Eulogy

On November 22, 1919 America was on the eve of its hardest and greatest era. Convenience was having an Ice Box, not AC! But the Delegata family was to receive their first Big Blessing, on this day. Eva Anna Daisy Gertrude Delegata is the full birth name, of the love one, whose life we celebrate, today. Eva, although born in Baltimore City, would grow up on Maryland's Eastern Shore. She would become the "True Marylander" learning to love our Chesapeake Bay style sea-foods. In-particular, the Maryland crab. Eva loved the ocean, and would spend a lot of her time either in it or in places along the shore. Being a lover of music she became a very polished dancer, catching the eye of more than a few of those who would share her dance floors. She enjoyed knitting, and the game of chance. Demonstrating her passions for it, whenever her situation would allow. Eva would meet William German, their relationship grew into marriage in the Spring of 1942. They enjoyed 33 years of living and sharing life, before Bill would depart from her, to Heaven. They would own a home on the shore of Cyprus Creek, in Severna Park, MD. Later try farming, in Sudlersville, MD. Their last home together would be in Cape St. Claire in Annapolis, MD. From there, after loosing her ability to live without Bill, she went to assistant living, at the Cache House in Glen Bernie. From there to her final resting place where we will depart from her today. In our parting today, Eva takes with her, memories shared with many of us. She lived her life her to the fullest gaining friendships with many affluent members of society. Politicians, and celebrities from the CW music world. Remembering a special event with CW star Roy Clark. While Eva was working at a Bar Lounge in Sudlersville. Mr. Clark came to work a Gig. While trying to notify him that his meal was ready, Eva discovered he was in the "Little Boy's" room. She knocked and told him through the door that his burger was ready. He proclaimed back to her to "bring it on in!" Well, with that request, and knowing how Eva was (rather strait forward), she did. Spanning into two Centuries and Millennia Eva lived through the Great Depression to the age of High Tech living. Eva German lived and saw ALL of it. Her biggest Blessing, being, her family and friends. Those of you, who, are with us to celebrate her life today. Let us say with love from our hearts Farewell and may God grant you a wonderful everlasting life with Him. God Bless you Eva German. We love you, and you will live on, in our hearts.
