Eugenia Frances Hasson, wife of the late Professor Emeritus, Dennis F. Hasson passed away at the age of 86 on April 4, 2023 with her loving sons, Leonard and Dennis at her bedside.

She was born on March 8, 1937 to John and Veronica Eyring of Baltimore, MD.  She graduated from Notre Dame of MD High School in 1955 and went on to Mount St. Agnes College to pursue a career in Nursing.

She married her husband of 50 years, Dennis F. Hasson in May of 1961. In October of 1975, she followed her husband Dennis and sons to Annapolis, MD where he was a professor at the United States Naval Academy from 1973 to 2000.  During this time, Eugenia took part in many social activities, including her involvement with the Naval Academy Women's Club and Chaplain's Guild, as well as, proofreading technical books and papers for her husband.  In the late 1990s, she and her husband moved to Severna Park, MD where she was an usher at 10:30 Mass at St. John the Evangelist Church.

Eugenia is survived by her two sons, Dennis (Molly Boyers) and Leonard, as well as, three grandchildren, Matthew, Katherine, and Margaret Hasson, all of Severna Park.

Friends and family may call on Friday, May 19 ^th from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, P.A.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, May 20 ^th at 9:00 AM at St. John Neumann Church, 620 N. Bestgate Road Annapolis, MD 21401.  Interment will be private.
