Eugene "Whitey" Parrott (93) passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on Saturday, October 9, 2021. Whitey was born in La Follette, Tennessee on June 15, 1928 and resided in Arnold, MD for 67 years. He served in the Navy during WWII. After his discharge, he became a construction foreman and carpenter for 40 years before retiring in 1991. He was very proud of his construction career and serving in the Navy during WWII. You could often hear him tell stories of both. For the past 30 years many have seen him and his sister-in-law Phoebe Gervasi spending time on the front porch, working on his cars and working in the yard. Whitey was loved by all and will be greatly missed.

He was married to Lillian "Bessie" Coomes for 52 years and she predeceased him in 1999. Whitey's son Johnny preceded him in death in 1971. He is survived by his two sons, Michael (Jennifer) and Roger and four grandchildren; Jacob, Cade, Adelaide and Juliana. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Phoebe Gervasi and her three children, William, Geraldine "Cookie" and Kenneth. Nieces Gloria Jean Flowers, Wanda Hogan, Kathy Forrest and Mary Kimble, nephew Jimmy Coomes, and many great nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may visit on Friday, October 15, 2021 from 10am-12pm with a service following at 12 pm at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, P.A., 495 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park, MD, 21146.
