Eugene Edward Griffith, 98, resident of Pasadena, MD, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2023. He was born on January 29, 1925 in Hagerstown, MD. to John Frederick Griffith and Lula Griffith (nee McCoy). He was raised in Hagerstown and joined the United Sates Army in 1943 serving his country during WWII including the Battle of the Bulge.  Eugene would go on to marry the love of his life, Helma, on January 16, 1961.

They would have four children together and would become Eugene and Helma's greatest joy in life to raise them together. Prior to living in Pasadena, MD the family lived in Washington, DC and Annapolis, MD.

Eugene was a retired bus driver and in his spare time he enjoyed bowling, nature trips and music.

Eugene lost the love of his life Helma on July 15, 2023 after 61 years of marriage. He is survived by his six loving children, Janice Khyati (Hakim Raqi), of Pasadena, MD, Andrew Griffith (Debbie), of Baltimore, MD, Richard Griffith, of Annapolis, MD, and Norbert Griffith, of Arnold, MD, Rose Sitkowski (Vernon) and  Mary Rivard (Larry) and brother, Robert Lee Griffith, of Florida; He is survived by 5 grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren.

A Graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at 1:00pm in Hillcrest Memorial Park, 1911 Forest Drive, Annapolis, MD 21401.
