Eugene (Gene) Talmadge Armor passed away peacefully on September 2nd.
He was born in Greensboro, Georgia and lived in Maryland for almost 60 years. He is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years Vivian Armor, his 3 sons Blane, Brandon, and Brian Armor, 7 grandchildren - Rachel Armor, Sara Armor, Juliana Olsen, Alek Leckszas, and Blake, Brooke and Brady Armor, his sister Dorothy Tumlin of Greensboro, Georgia and many nieces and nephews. He loved them all dearly.
Gene served in the U.S. Navy for 4 years and he graduated with honors with a B.A. in Finance from the University of Georgia. He was so proud to be a Georgia Bulldog! He went on to get a law degree from the University of Baltimore. He worked for 34 years at Westinghouse Electric Corporation located in Linthicum, Maryland where he had a distinguished career as an executive, serving as Manager of Subcontracts and also General Procurement.
Gene loved to spend time with his family and friends and he enjoyed life to the fullest. He had a wonderful sense of humor and everyone has a funny Gene Armor story to tell. He traveled the world with his bride visiting 4 continents, 32 countries and 38 states. He loved golf, reading, poker and southern fried chicken. He also served Nichols Bethel Church in Odenton for many years as a member of the board of trustees. He was loved by so many people and will be greatly missed.
A private family service will be held at Barranco Funeral Home on September 9th followed by a service and burial at the Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville.
