Ethna Ada Duckett, 84, of Severna Park and formerly of Brooklyn Park for 52 years, died of colon cancer Sept. 8 at home after an eight-month illness.

Born Oct. 3, 1921, in Baltimore, Mrs. Duckett was reared in South Baltimore.

Mrs. Duckett retired from Pavsner Press, where she worked for 10 years. Her interests included crocheting, crafts, road trips, camping and going to the mall.

She was the widow of John S. Duckett; and sister of the late Loretta Toby, and Jacob and Elwood Lulay. Surviving are one daughter, Pamela L. Duckett Combs of Severna Park; three sisters, Kathla Pruitt of Baltimore, and Eleanor Harris and Jane Donatt, both of Brooklyn Park; one brother, Lulay Austin of Pasadena; and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway in Severna Park, where funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday. Burial will follow in Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville.
